Why do I post this ? I want to interact with the last post « skulptur projekte muenster 07 ». It is about the same subject : the city, public space, but this one is a call for the cognitive computing interaction, another attends more for aesthetic-historical implication.
When the physical space is transformed into computing data through a kind of analogical relation. With the compression of the living participation, virtuality becomes a mystery. In which kind of world are we implied in? an empty one or a lost one ? Maybe it will be more funny to inverse this logic about the digital transformation of the city. This method reminds us of Sophie Calle’s series of photographs supposed to represent the imagination of what the blind people view or perceive.
The call concerns itself with the use of the city as an instrument or place of artistic practice. This may vary from art whose subject is the city to art, which is actually performed in a city. Special attention is given to telematic art practices in which activities within the city bring about changes and responses at another space.
